Formerly the Gauntlet, this course, along with her sister courses the Members Club and Player’s Club, is located almost an hour north of Myrtle Beach at St. James Plantation in Southport, North Carolina. Set amid Carolina pines and live oaks, the Gauntlet plays along the coastal salt marshes and the Intracoastal Waterway. It features Dye bulkheads, forced carries over water, pot bunkering, multi-level fairways and contoured greens. Their clubhouse has recently been re-modeled and the course drainage improved significantly.
